The 2017 AGM was held at this years Branch pub of the year, Artisan Cafe Bar on St Johns Street, Ashbourne on the 30th May. Thanks must go to Rhiannon and Paul for hosting the evening and to everyone who attended.

The main focus of the AGM was the election of committee members for the next 12 months.
We are pleased to report that Mark Grist has volunteered to remain as Chairman and this was unanimously agreed by all present. We'd like to thank Mark for his dedication, hard work and enthusiasm.

Two new roles have been created, those of Social Secretary and Vice Chairman, to assist with running of the branch.

Graham Burke takes up the role of Social Secretary. Graham is well known to branch members and visitors to the annual Ashbourne beer festival having organised the 2016 and 2017 beer festivals. Graham already has ideas for some social events so keep an eye on the Derby Drinker, this website and our Twitter feed for news of upcoming events.

Dave Etheridge takes up the post of Vice Chairman working alongside Mark. Dave has previous experience in the pub trade running various premises from Town Centre wet led operations to large dry led 'brand' outlets.

Both bring with them a passion for Real Ale and a desire to see the branch grow.

Most importantly the branch wouldn't exist without our members which have steadily grown since the last AGM. The membership provides the core of the volunteers which support branch activities such as the Beer Festival so a big thank you to you all.

As always if you want to come along to a meeting or get involved we would be glad to see you. The meetings are a good chance to catch up over a pint (or two) at different pubs within our area.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 27th June at the Red Lion, Kniveton at 8pm. All welcome.
